Vince Zampella, Has Died in a California Traffic Collision
The visionary game developer, renowned for co-creating the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a car accident in California at the age of 55.
Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the video game company he co-founded.
The celebrated industry figure passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a highway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This is a devastating loss, and we stand with Vince's family, those closest to him, and the countless individuals inspired by his work," an official with Electronic Arts stated.
