The Red Devils Poised to Secure Germany Striker Lea Schüller away from the Bavarian Giants
The Women's Super League club are on the verge of sealing the deal for prolific German forward Lea Schüller in a permanent move away from the Frauen-Bundesliga champions.
A Major Signing for United
Schüller, who has half a year remaining on her contract, has been a prolific goal-getter for both club and country. She has netted over 100 goals for Bayern and found the net 54 times in 82 appearances for her country. Her arrival will be seen as a marquee coup for the WSL team.
Her exit from Munich was expected since she was seen fighting back tears while applauding the club's fans following a win over Bayer Leverkusen recently.
It was reported in late December that the Frauen-Bundesliga was losing one of its leading strikers. Per reports, all the paperwork for the move are now finalised.
Consistent Goalscoring to Strengthen United's Forward Line
The experienced striker's signing should represent a significant boost to United’s forward line. Schüller has been highly reliable with her finishing in the Bundesliga.
- For seven consecutive seasons, including the most recent campaign, she achieved at least a double-figures tally of league goals.
- She won the top scorer award in the 2021-22 season with 16 goals.

Securing Schüller’s signature comes at a time when United seem to be building momentum.
