Outrage as Renowned South African DJ Shot Dead in the City of Johannesburg.
A prominent South African media personality and entertainer has been shot dead in the country's largest city Johannesburg, sending shockwaves across a nation struggling with persistent crime.
Warrick Stock, who went by the name DJ Warras, was shot and killed in the downtown area on Tuesday afternoon.
Officials stated the forty-year-old entertainer was confronted by a trio of assailants, one of whom shot at him before fleeing on foot.
The reason of the shooting has not been established and no arrests have taken place, police said.

Authorities indicated that Stock was targeted as he was departing from a premises close to the Carlton Centre.

The DJ tried to run away after he was wounded but collapsed on the opposite side of the road.
Police added that Stock had an weapon on his person and nothing was taken during the attack.
